The McDonald County Lady Mustangs reached the Class 4 sectionals last season by defeating Carl Junction in the District 12 championship game at Webb City’s Cardinal Dome. The Lady Mustangs, however, graduated Preslea Reece, Coley Ickes and Cendy Garcia Hingham finished third in the Division 2 South Sectional a year ago and they graduated five wrestlers that qualified for the states by placing in the sectionals: Wes Ward (106 pounds), Sam Lincoln (120), Austin Schlib (172), Logan Wise (195), Michael Calvi Caroline Cullen, Nikki Samuelson, Maggie Summit and Rebecca Kench placed second in the 200 medley relay (2:02.96) and the 200 free relay (1:52.67) qualifying for sectionals and states in both during a meet last week.
